The Gossi Cave, which offers a 400 million year mystery, is one of Korea's representative caves, and it is said that it was named after the place where the Ko family took refuge at the time of the Imjin War, and it is said that it has also been used as a water center. The cave's development direction is from northeast to southwest and was discovered in 1966. It was designated as Natural Monument No. 219 on June 4, 1969 and opened to the public on May 15, 1974. Gossi Cave is a typical limestone cave with a multi-layered structure consisting of several layers. The lower level is in the form of a horizontal cave where a river flows, and a passage is developed from the entrance in a southwesterly direction. The total length of the main cave is about 950 meters, the length of the tunnel is about 2,438 meters, and the total length of the Gossi Cave is 3,388 meters, of which only about 500 meters is developed for tourism and is open to the public. In the Gossi Cave, various cave products such as stalactites, stalactites, stalagmites, stone pillars, cave corals, stalmites, curtains, cave pearls, physolite, cave shields, grain stones, and moon oils are distributed, and deformed stalactites also grow at various points.
